NAUTILUS by Dan Bringhurst... in process and in production!
Film Grant Production Under Weigh!
Local film maker Dan Bringhurst is well into the production of his original screenplay “Nautilus”. This is a retelling of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea; the famous Jules Verne story of Captain Nemo and his extraordinary submarine. But Dan has brought a new twist to this oft told story; a musical version with original music and lyrics plus diversions and surprises that Jules Verne could never have imagined. TSBTC is pleased that Dan applied for and received the first TSBTC Film Grant of 2017. This is a complex production requiring special effects and much of it is being shot against a green screen for a post production that will complete the images. Well known local film makers and actors are supporting Dan; Sheldon Demke is playing Captain Nemo and the rescued crew of the “Abraham Lincoln” are played by Christian Navarette; Dan Fowlks and Tysen Bang with Nautilus crew members Peter Gunn and Clay in supporting roles. Behind the camera are Lonnie Black, Brandon Tilletsen. With special thanks to Justin Williams who has provided the location for the green screen studio. Behind the scenes film by Ned and Mary Cordery. |

"Refuge From the Storm"
Refuge from the Storm, a quirky/dark comedy, which chronicles the life of an Irish immigrant Patrick/Paddy who suffers from a split personality (dissociative identity disorder). On a cold blustery night, an itinerant P/P is forced to spend the night in a newly constructed garage with two other homeless souls, Brick and Fanny. Not only does this fateful night lead to the invention of a new religion, but it also leads to human sacrifice or murder! It all depends on whether you have been converted, have become a true believer.
