The 2010 Screenwriting Competition is for SHORT FILMS with a maximum screen time of 20 minutes plus credits.
The competition is open to residents of Washington County, Iron County and the City of Mesquite who have never had a film script produced.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS APRIL 1, 2010
The winning script will be produced by The Space Between Film Unit and entered in film festivals around the world.

The Space Between congratulates Kayenta resident, Dan Hesse, for the selection of his work by The Castle Rock Film Festival. Dan is the scriptwriter for the film, “Hey Kiddo,” selected for screening in the Festival’s “Short Film” category.
Dan submitted the script for “Hey Kiddo” to The Space Between for its 2008 Short Film Scriptwriting competition. Dan and his script took the prize – which included having TSB make his script into a short film. The filming of “Hey Kiddo” is the result of a wonderful collaboration among TSB artists, and Kayenta’s beautiful landscape served as the backdrop for much of the filming. We extend many thanks to Matt Marten of Gulch Design Group for his invaluable help in making this film.
